Understanding the approach

What is hypnobirthing?

Explore our hypnobirthing course →

Hypnobirthing brings together birth education, relaxation, breathing techniques and practical preparation. It offers strategies to practise during pregnancy and draw on during labour and birth.

Our focus is helping you understand what may happen, explore your options and feel more confident asking questions. It is preparation, rather than a promise of a particular birth experience.

Hypnobirthing does not guarantee a painless birth, a vaginal birth or avoiding intervention. Pain relief, including an epidural, induction and caesarean birth can all be part of your birth journey. Your preferences and clinical needs matter.

Preparation with purpose

Who is it for?

Expectant parents and couples who want structured preparation for birth. Whether this is your first baby or you are approaching a subsequent pregnancy differently, there is space to reflect, learn and prepare.

You do not need to have a particular type of birth in mind. The aim is to support your preparation and confidence while recognising that plans can change.
